Pig in a Blanket

Story of a boy who lives with a pig and his mother on a farm. The pig is wrapped in a blanket one morning and will not come out. Worrying for his friend the boy roams the farm asking advice from the other animals. Finding no help from the members of the farms community he decides to find answers himself!
Why would he do that?

    What is his deal?

A pig in a blanket, I've heard, is a meal!

He lays there, he does, all wrapped up so tight,

he's given his ma' and myself quite a fright!

    Is he watching T.V.?

    Is he taking a nap?

Why in the world does he lay there like that?

Maybe he's scared of monsters or bugs..

or Boary the bully and his billy goat thugs!

"I don't think so said ma'."

He laid there a while, he did and I knew...

There just had to be something, one thing I could do.

Should I poke him in the rump with a big prickly stick?

Should I call up the doctor in case he is sick?

"I don't think so said ma'."

We could make him some pancakes, he might want to eat.

I could get a goose feather and tickle his feet...

or form a big group to see what is wrong,

or hit a big gong... or sing him a song.

"I don't think so said ma'."

I could go ask the cow, he'll know what to do.

So I went and asked and the cow told me... "Moo."

I then asked the duck but interrupted his snack

and he chased me off quick with a quackity-quack!
